Kothari Industrial Corporation Limited (KICL) is pleased to announce that its Executive Chairman, Dr. J. Rafiq Ahmed, has been appointed as the Vice President of the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI).
The appointment follows SICCI’s 116th Annual General Meeting held in Chennai, where Mr. V. N. Shiva Shankar, Founder of VNS Legal, was elected as President. Mr. AMPA. Palaniappan, Managing Director of AMPA GROUP, was elected as Senior Vice President.
Dr. J. Rafiq Ahmed brings extensive experience in industrial development, manufacturing, logistics and entrepreneurship. Under his leadership, KICL has expanded its presence across diverse sectors, including non-leather footwear manufacturing, drone technology, geospatial solutions, fertilisers and hospitality.
His appointment to the leadership of SICCI reflects his continued commitment to strengthening industry–government collaboration, supporting MSMEs and contributing to sustainable industrial and economic growth across Southern India.
